Hiking
Cycling
I started cycling in mid-2016. I am grateful to Prof. K. Ashok (Professor@UoH) for introducing me to the world of cycling. It has been a pleasure cycling since then though I haven't bought a bike for myself yet. Rather, I had never thought of it, thanks to The Bike Affair (TBA). I have been renting a bike with TBA since then and who wouldn't want to when TBA offers you the best hybrid or mountain bike in the store for rent each time you ride with them. TBA is run by two passionate cyclists and very friendly guys (Krish and Gokul) who ensures you enjoy cycling.
I have been hiking since my undergraduate studies in Maharashtra, exploring various trails such as Shinhgad, Torna, Rajgad, Raigad, Lohgad, Kalsubai, Ratnagad, and more. These experiences have left me with delightful memories that I will cherish lifelong. Nearly 18 years later, after moving to a place where weekend hiking has become a regular activity, I couldn't have asked for more. I owe special thanks to George Gregoriou, who leads the Cyprus Hikers group alongside Stathis. Their hikes attract large groups of people, which serves as great motivation

Cricket
My affair with cricket started from Fergusson College hostel days. They use to call me 'Ghatacha Raja' because of my unusual bowling action and I was very bad at it. I did not play much cricket after I left Fergusson College. But, my affair began again when I went for doctoral studies to University of Leicester, UK in 2006. I played for the Leicester University Staff Cricket Club during 2008-2009. This is how I did - http://leicesterunicc.play-cricket.com/player_stats/bowling/526517?rule_type_id=179 and leave it you to judge my cricket skills, not at all impressive except one or two bowling spells. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed playing with the best cricket buddies. My affair with cricket saw a break again for several years before it began again at University of Hyderabad in 2016. I started organising a friendly cricket match after every semester-end with Faculty and Students of our Centre and still wear my old jersey from UK :).
